Tear Mender Canvas Glue

from $15.00

This instant canvas and leather adhesive is non-toxic, water-proof, permanent, quick-drying, flexible, UV-resistant.

It works great on smaller canvas repairs to patch smaller manageable sized holes and rips on wall tents and more.

Bottle Sizes:

  • 2oz or 6oz

How to Use Bish’s Tear Mender

Preparation To Use:

Clean the Tear: Wipe the torn edges of the canvas with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Use a Speedy Stitcher (our favorite tool) to sew together larger holes.

Application:

  1. Cut a Patch: Cut a circular piece of canvas 1-2 inches larger than the tear.

  2. Shake Well: Give the Tear Mender bottle a good shake.

  3. Apply Adhesive to Patch: SLOWLY Apply a thin amount of glue to the patch and spread it around with a rag.

  4. Position the Patch: Place the patch over the tear, ensuring it overlaps the torn edges.

  5. Align and Press: Carefully align the torn edges or the patch and the canvas, pressing firmly to ensure good adhesion.

  6. Let Dry: Allow the glue to dry completely.

Important Tips:

  • Weatherproofing: After the repair, consider applying a waterproof sealant to the patched area.

  • Reinforcement: For larger tears or high-stress areas, consider stitching the hole and/or the patch in addition to only using the glue.

Pro Tip: We suggest to tightly close cap and place bottle in an airtight bag after use to prevent glue from hardening while stored.
