Canvas Bread Couches & Bakery Proofing Cloths
Our canvas bread couches are made from untreated 7 oz. canvas and sewn for use in commercial bakery operations.
Also called a baker’s couche, bakery couche or bread proofing cloth, a couche provides a durable canvas surface for bakeries working with bread dough during the proofing process.
We currently manufacture bread couches for commercial bakery customers including Grand Central Bakery and Grateful Bread.

These are existing sizes, not limits. Custom dimensions are available for bakeries with different equipment, production setups or existing couche specifications.

For a new commercial customer, we generally recommend starting with a sample or small initial order so you can confirm the dimensions, material and construction work properly with your bakery’s process before moving into larger quantities.

Custom Canvas Oven Loader Belts
Beckel Canvas also manufactures canvas oven loader belts for commercial bakeries and deck oven applications.
These long canvas belts — sometimes referred to as oven loader cloths or bakery loader belts — can be produced to match the dimensions required by your bakery’s equipment.
We have manufactured custom oven loader belts for Macrina Bakery using heavy untreated canvas.
